%X In the State of Rio Grande do Sul two types of vegetal covering are distinguished, the Paspalum notatum, with frequent occurrence in the Campos Sulinos and the crops of the soybean (Glycine max L.), occupying about 4 million hectare in the state. The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of the width and positioning of the spectral bands of the visible one and the infra-red ray next obtained of different sensors on the value of the NDVI in the canopies of Paspalum notatum and soybean. It went used data of measure of reflectance of the plants between 11am and to 1pm, using a spectroradiometer, obtained in two experiments conducted in the EAA-UFRGS. The NDVI was calculated using the compatible bands with sensors Landsat/TM, Cbers/CCD and WFI, Land/Aster, Terra/MODIS and NOAA/AVHRR. The analysis of the presented data sample small differences in the values of NDVI. It is concluded that the density of vegetable topping influences in the value of NDVI.
